What Does The New Trauma Research Mean For How We Teach?

A live online session for yoga teachers | 27 May | 4pm

Β

A new neuroscience paper is making an argument that trauma is not stored in body tissue. It is a prediction problem, a nervous system caught in a loop it cannot yet update.

This has implications for how we talk to students, how we sequence, and how we guide interoceptive awareness in class.

In this session I will walk through the key findings and translate them into specific practical tools.

  • How to sequence for the flow state
  • How to guide body awareness without inadvertently reinforcing a threat loop
  • How to talk about recovery in a way that empowers students
