A workshop for teachers
Included in your Yoga for Anxiety & Trauma online course
More and more students are arriving in class feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or checked out.
They might not say it—but what they’re experiencing is often nervous system dysregulation.
Â
This happens when the body’s stress response gets stuck in “on” or “off” mode—due to chronic stress, trauma, or anxiety—and it makes it hard to stay present, feel safe, or fully engage.
As yoga teachers, we’re in a unique position to help.
But to do so, we need to go beyond just offering “calm” and learn how to work with the nervous system.Â
Â

In this experiential workshop, you’ll:
-
Learn how and why the nervous system becomes dysregulated, and how this shows up in class
-
Understand the “window of tolerance”—and how trauma, anxiety, and stress can narrow it
-
Explore up- and down-regulating tools that help students find balance and safety
-
Discover the power of pausing—to notice, reset, and choose with intention
This isn’t just theory—you’ll be guided through real-time practices, then explore them further in small breakout groups, where you can:
-
Reflect on how the tools land in your body
-
Share ideas with fellow teachers
-
Practice adapting them for your own teaching context
Whether you’re new to nervous system-aware teaching or ready to go deeper, this session will help you teach with more confidence, sensitivity, and clarity.
Replay available if you can’t attend live.
